The company established in 1901 is today one of the leading manufacturers of special gearboxes in Germany. Each product leaving the Keller premises is thus a very special piece of engineering. Gear solutions for many industries: Our portfolio ranges from gear wheels with diameters of up to 4.0 m to the development of innovative special gearbox solutions weighing up to 160 tons. We supply a wide range of industries, including the cement, sugar processing, steel and plastics industries, surface mining companies and the shipping industry. The gear systems developed for these industries are based on customer specifications. We also offer all our customers a repair, maintenance and optimisation service for both Keller and third-party gears.
Keller know-how has been applied in the smelting and steel works for more than a century. Our gears are in operation at plants around the globe. Our versatile product range for medium and large-size gearboxes respectively gears in throug hardened or case-hardened design, with a weight of up to 40 tons. They guarantee a smooth surface finish - be it for steel or aluminium.
We bring together our extensive experience as a gear system producer, the practical expertise of our customers and the latest scientific advances. This know-how forms the basis on which we develop transmission systems suitable for input powers of up to 2500 kW. As our gearboxes for sugar beat presses are well-known in the industry for their specially adjusted torques, they have become the preferred equipment in most sugar factories in Europe. As in many other fields of the food processing industry, we have again achieved a technological edge, thanks to our close cooperation with processors and university departments. Over the last few decades we have supplied the rubber and plastics industry with calander, extruder and rubber mixer gears that meet the most stringent requirements. We repair, service and optimise gears from other suppliers, providing you with greater torques and improved performance. Our rubbermixer gears are renowned worldwide for their excellent quality. All our units for the rubber and plastics industry have been developed in close cooperation with well-known plant suppliers and processing companies. Our strength can for example be found in many car tyres used all over the world.
We supply the cement industry with gears for a wide range of different machines, such as vertical and horizontal mills, kilns and conveyor systems. We also provide pinions for ring gears in mills and furnaces, and many other similar parts. Our experience in this field and in particular in the production of vertical mills, stems from our close cooperation with established cement plants.
In maritime applications, such as dredging, the excellent quality of Keller gear units comes to the fore – be it on deck or in the engine room. We offer our customers propeller gearboxes of 15,000 kW and more, as well as transmission solutions for dredge pumps, jet pumps, winches, generators, distribution gears, as well as cutter-head and cutter wheel drives.
