ELECTRIC POWER UNIT The power unit is used to supply hydraulic power to the payoff/take-up twister. The power unit consist of a 50 horsepower, 3 phase electric motor which is coupled to a Sundstrand hydraulic pump. The power unit consist of a diesel motor which is coupled to a hydraulic pump. Weight & Measurements: PAYOFF/TAKE-UP (TWISTER) The payoff/take-up (twister) is capable of holding two (2) reels of cable at the same time. It acts as a payoff which allows cable to be spooled from the reel. It can be used to normalize cables, as well as take-up cable from another drum or wireline unit.
